The Alice Nasta-Gitter Courage Award was created in 2009. After being diagnosed in September of 2008 Alice fought and defeated cancer to the point where she was deemed cancer free in May of 2009. She still deals with the side effects of the radiation treatments to this day. Her life was pushed to the brink and she proved the will to live was stronger then a disease that only knows how to destroy life. For this immense show of courage we name this award in her honor, and present it to anyone who defeats any of life's battles.
